Mitsubishi Shogun Black Edition unveiledMitsubishi Shogun Black Edition

Mitsubishi has confirmed that it is preparing an upgraded version of its popular Shogun, to be called the Shogun Black Special Edition and to be available in five colours.
Based on the existing Mitsubishi 3.2-litre Di-D LWB Shogun SG4, the Shogun Black includes a satin black styling kit - hence the name - which adds black 20in alloy wheels to the package while changing the appearance of the roof, spoiler, wing mirrors, grille and headlamp bezels, fog lamp surrounds, door handles and side steps.
Despite its name, black isn't the only body colour available for the Shogun Black: Mitsubishi has confirmed a choice of five colours for launch, with buyers picking from 'Frost White,' 'Cool Silver,' 'Orient Red,' or 'Granite Brown' metallics or 'Diamond Black' pearlescent finishes.
As with the standard Shogun SG4, the Black includes the Mitsubishi Motors Communication System (MMCS) with satellite navigation, reversing camera and iPod connectivity, leather upholstery, enhanced instrument illumination, Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC), auto lights, auto wipers, privacy glass, a colour-coded spare wheel cover, a brake override system, rear under-cover for improved aerodynamic performance and electric power steering.
The Shogun Black's powertrain is a Euro V compliant 3.2-litre direct-injection diesel offering 197bhp output and an impressive 441Nm of torque for a total towing capacity of 3,500kg.
For those mulling a Shogun purchase, the new Shogun Black will set you back £1,000 on top of the cost of the SG4 at £41,999 on the road with orders being taken now.
